McLaren’s dominance for the majority of the season means they are likely to wrap up a tenth constructors’ title on race day, but Verstappen’s resurgence has caused some concern. Although Piastri still leads Norris by 25 points in what seems a two-horse race for the driver’s title, any setbacks could allow Verstappen to reduce the 69-point gap to the lead.

Coverage on compelling matches with a pair of coaches especially under pressure. The unrelenting focus on Ruben Amorim’s struggles at United has ramped up to critical, and the match with the Black Cats has all the signs of a watershed before the international break. Amorim’s 50th match in charge could be his last, even though United having won their last two home fixtures. After 49 matches, Amorim’s record stands at: won 18, 12 draws, lost 19. That 36.7% win rate is much lower with his predecessor's ten Hag's 70% at the equivalent point. The Hammers, on the other hand, play for their second game under Nuno, following Monday's 1-1 tie at Goodison Park. West Ham have the curious statistic of having defeated the Gunners in consecutive games at the Emirates. A further loss at home by their London rivals is doubtful given the Gunners’ form – six wins from their last eight top-flight matches.

Saturday’s evening match sees the collision of teams in a poor run. Enzo Maresca’s Blues have endured successive Premier League losses, to United and Brighton & Hove Albion, while the title holders lost 2-1 to Palace before stumbling in the Champions League in Turkey in midweek. Slot's team are without a win in their last four Premier League games at Stamford Bridge but have not lost consecutive league matches since last April. Searching for signs? O’Brien, who is aiming for a third win in the race, also runs another contender, third last year, but the horse will have to defy stall 14 to claim victory. Aventure, who is just behind the favorite in the betting, was handed gate 12. Hopes of a maiden Japanese-trained winner were hurt, with the Derby victor, one entry, and the Prix Foy victor, another, drawn in stalls 17 and 15 each. Their compatriot Alohi Alii appears more favorably positioned in four. André Fabre’s duo of Sosie and Cualificar did better with stalls three and eight each, while Francis-Henri Graffard’s three had reasonable draws.
